DX Code Removal

Removing DX codes

You can select any code and either Remove or Edit to accomplish a removal or end of a Dx. The only difference is knowing which codes you can remove or need to edit!

BH Codes

Behavioral Health codes constitute codes that look like this :

These codes can be removed by going to the Action drop down of the history table and selecting the Remove. You will obtain a prompt asking if you are sure you want to remove the Dx code, you can then select confirm.

Physical Codes

Physical Codes constitute codes that look like this:

You will notice that when reviewing these codes in the history table they will display a column that identifies if they are behavioral or not. 

To remove these codes, you will need to go to the action drop down menu but instead of selecting Remove( which will not display) you will need to select edit. 

A table will open up where the DX code was originally added where you will need to select the end date of this issue and the status meaning has this been resolved or is it inactive:

Once this is complete you can save the changes.
